as far as i know yahoo has beta mail... you can still have the old version.. if you like..there is no beta gmail or beta hotmail.
I have been using hotmail and yahoo for the last 6 years...

Reply:Yahoo Mail Beta doesn't support all browsers for now (it's because it's using Web 2.0 standard which not all browsers adapted to yet... Konqueror is one of them for example). It has minor bugs but from the looks of things they will release the final version pretty soon.
Hotmail Beta, also named Live Mail is available only in some countries and support only IE for now.. It received bad reviews so I won't encourage you to use it.. I've seen the reviews but never had the chance of using it though..
Google Mail is simple but it does the job and it's very fast! You can even communicate directly with your online contacts which are using gmail also... No need for IM.

Actually I just recently traded my name in of 7 years. I use both hotmail and yahoo. I like my username. I decided on it because well one night when a couple my and girls were out she called me Vegas as you know the saying "what happens in vegas stays in vegas" because we got a little wild that night....I decided Dirtty because its part of my personality. Im not literally dirty but i like to get down. I used 2 t's so that it wouldnt be confused with the band. The reason i changed my name was because i was 13 when i chose my previous name and ive grown up a little and i need something more suiting to me as a person now.

You can use Windows Live Messenger with Hotmail with all the functions, unlike Yahoo, gmail and etc.
Hotmail also has a strong spam and junkmail filter. Good interface, not complicated to navigate, and a decent storage space.
Yahoo would be next of my preference, with gmail coming last.

No you still cannot. But, if you have yahoo you can talk to MSN users and vice versa.

I am the owner and administrator of a mail server (merak). I also have some virtual domains (anec.org.mx, eicoprodesa.com.mx...) all of them receive but send as a spam.

Hotmail made me loose tones of contact and important email. Even if today they give 1 gig of storage, I wouldn't recomment hotmail to anyone.I use yahoo mail free for so long and so happy, that I decided to upgrade for a package with them. Apparently, if people with the same isp as you use their accounts to send large volumes of spam and people report this spam to their ISP or to their anti-virus provider, then that ISP gets listed on SpamCop as an offender. Then, innocent people get penalized for having the same provider when that ISP is temporarily added to SpamCop's (which most AVs and spamkillers use) offender list. After a while, the ISP listing comes off until it is reported again.
My ISP rarely is accepted by Hotmail or Comcast. I have a Wanadoo account and, from what I read, spammers use this ISP alot and the rest of us are banned by other providers. I also read that there just isn't a lot you can do about it. That was the case for Wanadoo, anyway. Search your specific ISP and find out if its a known offender.

GMail is nice, but not as ascethetically appeasing as Yahoo. It is not always user-friendly with the tabs and multiple sign-ins. A little high-maintenence if you ask me.
So I prefer Yahoo!. You have to be strict with your settings to block out spam, but I've had about perhaps 20 email accounts (for various work, rec, pers. bus.) in the past 10 years and Yahoo! is where I keep my main account. And I'm RARELY bothered with spam. As Yahoo! keeps updating to compete with other mail services, there havent been glitches.
+ the Yahoo! groups are wonderful. Choosing a good EMail provider is much like your cell phone. Different servers can respond differently with each one. And while I use Yahoo! on my computer all over the Midwest and East Coast... it matters what's most comfortable for you.

this is easy, just open the mail and select show full header to show there I.P address. hope this helps you.

Reply:I would recomend Gmail. It is a Google bassed email and you have almost unlimmited storage. I do not like yahoo that much because of all the spam. With Gmail you can have free pop3 wich means that you can download them to your computer using your favorite email application (ex. Outlook) You will not be able to use thunderbird as a email provider, Thunderbird is a email application for example outlook or outlook exspress, you can use thunderbird only if you already have a email address that allowes pop3 access. If you do decide to get gmail, you can signup useing text message or i can invite you, give me a email (ransier_billy@yahoo.com)

Reply:All of the services you listed are good in their own way. I personally like Gmail because it has the best organizational features and a ton of mailbox space (2.7 GB). Plus it is a free service, as is Yahoo and Hotmail.
Yahoo would be my second choice. As for Hotmail, I would avoid it as it offers the least features and charges extra for features the other services offer for free (ie. extra storage).

Reply:Yahoo. I have been using it for years. For just the free service you get one gigabyte of storage from the start and if you really needed all the bells and whistles to go with it, the cost isn't bad at all.
The antivirus software is all taken care of for you (after all, they don't want viruses on their servers), and the provide spam blocking, still all in the free version.

Reply:I would recomend Gmail. It is a Google bassed email and you have almost unlimmited storage. I do not like yahoo that much because of all the spam. With Gmail you can have free pop3 wich means that you can download them to your computer using your favorite email application (ex. Outlook) You will not be able to use thunderbird as a email provider, Thunderbird is a email application for example outlook or outlook exspress, you can use thunderbird only if you already have a email address that allowes pop3 access. If you do decide to get gmail, you can signup useing text message or i can invite you, give me a email (ransier_billy@yahoo.com)
Reply:I love yahoo more than any of the other programs I've used. I have 2 accounts with them and pay to have it setup as pop3 mail so that I can read them both using Outlook 2003 which makes them easier to read and reply, etc. Love it!
Reply:All of the services you listed are good in their own way. I personally like Gmail because it has the best organizational features and a ton of mailbox space (2.7 GB). Plus it is a free service, as is Yahoo and Hotmail.
Yahoo would be my second choice. As for Hotmail, I would avoid it as it offers the least features and charges extra for features the other services offer for free (ie. extra storage).

How can I set up hotmail or gmail onto my Razor? I only have AIM. ?

In my opinion hotmail is the best. I haven't gotten as much spam with them as I have had with GMAIL or Yahoo. Gmail has good storage, but gives out too much spam. Yahoo has good storage, but sends everything to spam. I also like hotmail's security features.

Hi. I am assuming that the problems that occur lately with yahoo is due to their upgrade with their system. They have been modifying their site as what we all notice. Even in the yahoo chatrooms, there are still plenty of bugs and the email as well. I tried to contact the help support but to no avail. We will have to wait and see if the problem will be corrected in a month or two. It's not that easy to spot the bugs at one time by only a few people... it needs a lot of testing through yahoo users to spot a bug.

Even in the yahoo chatrooms, there are still plenty of bugs and the email as well. I tried to contact the help support but to no avail. We will have to wait and see if the problem will be corrected in a month or two. It's not that easy to spot the bugs at one time by only a few people... it needs a lot of testing through yahoo users to spot a bug.

what more do you want to from gmail , yahoomail and hotmail besides just recieving mail ?
things like texting online for free ? , those kind of stuff. what other features on do you want besides receiving and and sending mail ??? , i am trying to create something similar to those 3 Gmail , yahoo mail and hotmail but offer much more .

I would see and manipulate their screen, with them seeing what I am doing. This would be within a window on my screen. I'd sell my soul for an easy way to do this.

It depends upon what you want. I've chosen to go with Gmail for the last year. The built in chat is nice at work. (not that I'd chat at WORK! *gasp*) but more than that the unlimited space, labeling of items, easy accessibility from my phone, and plenty of built in features I really find gmail to be the best choice for me.
Unfortunately I haven't used the other two. My advice would be to sign up for one of each and try them out, flittering around with options and seeing how they work to fit your personal needs.

yahoo, rediff and gmail cann't be configured in Outlook Express if you are using free e-mail services provided by them. To be able to configure them with your OE, you need to be a paid member of their email services. However, for hotmail, it is possible even for free membership.

yahoo, rediff and gmail cann't be configured in Outlook Express if you are using free e-mail services provided by them. To be able to configure them with your OE, you need to be a paid member of their email services. However, for hotmail, it is possible even for free membership.

But according to me Gmail is the best that I've been using. I do have email id's in almost all free email providers but I felt that Gmail was exceptionally good and better. When you consider chat, I think many people use windows live messenger ( For using windows live messenger, you need a hotmail id), Gmail also provides chat and one more extra thing I noticed in gmail is that, if your friends in your contact list has logged into chat but you are just going through your mails, you can chat with them directly from there in the same web page on the left hand side. Moreover I think Gmail is more secure than others.Yahoo too is also good as it can be used to chat with users of hotmail id too and also provides almost all features as hotmail. Note that you cannot chat with users having hotmail id or yahoo id through googletalk. I think you've got a rough idea. Then the rest is all to you which to choose.

Hotmail is good, because it gives you full control over SPAM control. Gmail/Yahoo does it for you and I don't think they are too good at that, although so far GMail hasn't proved otherwise yet.
The other pluses of Gmail, are the ads that appear on the right side based on the key-words in your email text. This is cool, because when somebody sends you an email, talking about their product, (it does not have to be necessarily SPAM), you can see their competitors right there, (on the right side) while you are reading their tall claims. You got to see it to believe it. Try using Gmail, and have your automated responses from commercial services directed to your gmail addresses and you'll see what I mean.

Why don't companies that support free emails (yahoo, gmail, hotmail) provide better spam filters?
granted, gmail is better than the rest, but it could even be improved. why doesn't yahoo improve theirs? yahoo's and hotmail's "mark as spam training" doesn't seem to be effective at all. gmail seems to work okay for me, and rarely misses some, but it could be improved.
an example of a good spamfilter (also FREE) -- SPAMBAYES has a "junk email folder" but then also has an "unsure" folder...
See, each email is given a %spam rating. and under 10% is considered real email (aka HAM), and over 90% is considered SPAM. between 10-90% goes into the unsure (which rarely happens), and it seems to be really really accurate. There is also an initial training, and since everyone receives different kinds of spam/ham this helps make it very accurate.
having this extra folder, an initial training period, and %spam rating system seems to make it virtually error-free.
am i missing something? anyone think yahoo spam/bulk mail should be improved in a similar fashion? why don't they?

Go and download Mozilla Thunderbird http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird... set up with your google account it's so easy, then forward all other accounts to your google, this will also help with regards spam as they will be checked by your usual account then google.

Yahoo freemail only allows attachments of up to 10 MB, Gmail allows attachments of up to 20 MB. So if you like to send lots of pics, videos and .mp3's, you are better of with Gmail...:-)

Gmail is my favorite, it is the easiest of the bunch. Invites are not had to come by. The search function is the best. The other nice feature is that conversations are stored together not just chronologically as on yahoo and hotmail. I like the advertisements and the chat while the mail is up is a nice touch. It is the best.
I have 1 gmail, 4 yahoo and 1 hotmail account. gmail is my preference most of the time

Then i got a hotmail account too and that was ok, but i find it confusing.
My brother then invited me to gmail and that one is a bit like yahoo. it's simple and easy to use.
I think the worst part about hotmail is how dark the colours of the screen are. So they all work fine, the only drawback to gmail is you have to have someone invite you to be able to get it.
